Kunsthars of schilderen
Voor sommige mensen is het duidelijk. Ze hebben een specifieke voorkeur voor de manier van werken. Voor mij geldt dat absoluut niet.
Variatie is mijn codewoord en dus laat ik doek en kwasten voor wat het zijn en ga aan de slag met een watergedragen kunsthars. Een twee-componenten materie waarmee op heel veel manieren gewerkt kan worden.
Wel met een idee in het hoofd maar werken van uit de materie en bijsturen daar waar nodig.
Vormen met de handen
Mijn voorkeur voor de vorm gaat niet uit naar strak maar eerder naar losjes en enigszins rommelig en onregelmatig. De natuur is mijn inspiratiebron in deze. Graag voel ik de materie en besluit dit werk dan ook te vormen met de handen. Doordat dit kunsthars een 2 componetensysteem is moet er doorgewerkt worden en steeds opnieuw wat nieuwe materiaal worden aangemaakt. Dit is een secuur werkje.
De keukenweegschaal maakt overuren. Alles dient goed afgewogen te worden, om de juiste samenstelling en sterkte te kunnen garanderen, iedere keer weer opnieuw. Treuzelen is er niet bij. Aangezien ik werk in mijn keuken moet er voorzichtig worden gewerkt. Na uitharding is het materiaal loeisterk en moeilijk of niet meer te verwijderen.
Kunsthars linkt naar zee en land
In het dagelijks leven dichtbij agrarische activiteiten en en visserij. Zo ontstaat het idee van een ontkiemend zaad waaruit een vorm ontstaat die associeert naar een staart van een vis. Twee bronnen van inkomsten in mijn nabijheid versmolten en aan elkaar gelinkt.
Kiemkracht in kunsthars
Na de eerste opzet blijft het object, door omstandigheden, zeker een jaar in een hoekje staan. Uiteindelijk krijgt het weer aandacht, vorm en kleur.
